The Y5 Whales have been amazing during their PE lessons with Miss Chambers. We have been practising our hockey skills which include control, dribbling, blocking and passing. Well done Whales! #dcpspe #dcpswhale #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less

Y2 Dinos had a great time on their first mission with Commando Joe, using teamwork to transfer “water” from one bucket to another to aid in putting out the fires in London in 1666. Lots of fantastic ideas for transferring water, despite the obstacles such as fallen timbers and rickety bridges. Excellent work Dinos.

There have been many things that we haven't been able to do for our Year 6 leavers this year, but there was one tradition that we couldn't go without - our leavers' video.
Even though it was filmed under strange circumstances, I think you will all agree that it is a lovely representation of the heart, tenacity and resilience that our year 6 children possess.
We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

Year 1 had a very special visitor from Warburtons on a Friday. We looked at how to make a healthy, balanced sandwich using the five food groups. Thank you for our loaf of bread that we got to take home... yum yum! #dcpspanda #dcpstopic #dcpspshe #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less
During our STEM week, year 4 focused on the different environments around the world as part of our ‘Our Diverse Planet’ topic. Over the course of the week, we observed the temperature in the Sahara Desert and we made a practical line graph to show the change over time! They look fantastic! #dcpsgiraffe #dcpsstem #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less
Year 4 giraffes took part in a live workout today for Sports Relief today! We were exhausted by the end but it was lots of fun and helped keep us active and healthy. I think we might do this more often! #dcpsgiraffe #dcpscore #dcpspe ... See MoreSee Less

The Y4 Elephants have had a fantastic and inspiring morning at Live Tales. The children had the opportunity to write creatively and bring our characters to life. We even had an illustrator creating our characters whilst we gave details! Thank you Live Tales! #dcpselephant #dcpsenglish #dcpscore #dcpslotc ... See MoreSee Less
Mrs clarke is so impressed with the children in year 3. We now have 10 children working on decimal multiplication, 2 children completely passed decimals and the rest hot on their heels. Look at our newest 55 and 34 club members.

Throughout the week, the Elephants have been monitoring the temperature and climate in the Sahara Desert. We kept a record of the temperature in a table and we created a line graph with our results BUT this wasn’t any ordinary graph... we had to create it using tape and sticky notes!!! #dcpselephant #dcpsstem #dcpscore ... During British Science Week this week, the Y4 Elephants have been learning all about ‘Our Diverse Planet.’ They have been looking across the globe at different habitats and the variety of environments we have. We have studied the Sahara Desert, rainforests and Antarctica. We had to test different materials to see which were the best insulators so we could design a coat suitable for the Antarctic climate! The children used thermometers to see which materials created the largest temperature change of the water #dcpselephant #dcpsstem #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less
