We made bird feeders today in Year 1! We have have been looking at carnivores, omnivores and herbivores during our Go Wild topic this week and we thought we would make something for the animals to eat. This was a very smelly, messy job but we all had fun. #dcpstopic #dcpspanda ... See MoreSee Less

Year 1 are going to be writing an information text all about alligators as their next piece of writing in English. Today we used our time to explore alligators using the internet and information leaflets. The children wrote all of their ideas down on big pieces of paper to share with the rest of the class. Fantastic work, Pandas. #dcpspanda #dcpsenglish #dcpsictforlearning ... See MoreSee Less

Well done Harry 👏👏👏💕

Another fantastic Commando Joe’s lesson with the Year 1 Panda Class today. We used our team skills to create a shelter so we could survive a night in the jungle. We were expecting heavy rain so we had to have a roof on our shelters. The children used their imagination to find trees that they could attach their shelters to and I was very impressed with the results. A successful night sleep for all Pandas. Well done! #dcpspanda #dcpstopic #dcpspshe ... See MoreSee Less

For our mission today, Year 1 Panda class had to work as a team to collect food from the beach to survive a night in the jungle. We were put into teams and we had to make our way through the jungle, but we could only step onto the benches or spots. We had to throw the food to the correct colour team to ensure that we helped our friends to collect their food too. Everyone managed to collect food to stay alive and we are all fantastic at team work. Well done, Panda Class. #dcpspanda #dcpstopic ... See MoreSee Less
