Year One Polar Bears loved their first class visit to Howdon Library. They enjoyed a story, explored the outdoor garden and chose a book to take back to school. They were exceptionally behaved and had lots of fun.

What a lovely day we had in the woods last Wednesday. We saw the ducklings again, who had become very brave and they walked out of the water to meet us. We went on a flower hunt, matching different types of flowers. There was a lot of climbing and hiding in tress and bushes too. The children in Reception have loved learning about Australia. We have learnt all about the country and some of it’s landmarks. We’ve learnt about animals that live in the country and are fascinated by marsupials. We made our own binoculars so we could go on an outback adventure and spot the animals. We have even learnt some songs about Australia. We had been learning some sketching skills ipand some of us chose to use them when drawing pictures of Kevin the Koala.
