This term Year 3 enjoyed making their paper photographs frames. We learnt some techniques to make paper sturdy for supporting the frame to stand up such as rolling, twisting, folding. We looked at different photograph frames and thought about the positives and negatives of them and then designed and made our own. #dcpslizard #dcpscore #dcpsdt

Year 3 Lizards loved our Stone Age topic this term. We have looked at so many aspects of the Stone Age including where they first settled, the geographical location of sites such as Skara Brae and Stonehenge, the mystery of the Amesbury archer, houses, tools, foods, clothing and then how this compares to the Bronze Age and Iron Age and today. We even made our own Bourbonhenge We had a great trip to The Rising Sun for a Stone Age day and have drawn our very own cave paintings. The year 1 children were very fortunate to have a visit from Lynn today, she came to talk to us about the importance of road safety. We learnt a song all about what we need to do, to ensure we can safely cross the road. We discussed the different crossings, roads markings and different people who can help keep us safe when we are crossing the road. #dcpspandas #dcpscore #dcpspshe

This week Year 1 Panda’s have thoroughly enjoyed exploring our new science topic ‘Light and Dark.’ The children have had lots of opportunity to explore and compare different light sources, and look at the brightness and impact they have. The children have done a great job creating their own shadow puppet theatre and making their own sunglasses too! #dcpspandas #dcpscore #dcpsscience
