PT 2 As part of our Arctic Explorer topic, Reception have read the stories ‘Poles Apart’ and ‘One day on our blue planet…in the Antarctic’ We found out about animals such as penguins, polar bears and narwhals and even had to help them escape when they became trapped in the ice. We used different tools to break the ice and observed what happened to the ice over time. We also created our own penguins using our skills to roll, pinch and mould clay independently. #dcpsEYFS #dcpsladybird #dcpsbutterfly #dcpsstem #dcpsart #dcpscore

We have loved watching our Reception children turn into brave Arctic explorers over the past couple of weeks. Warm clothes on, noses red, imaginations running wild! We took advantage of the weather, making our own snowmen and loved finding out about the North and South Poles. #dcpsEYFS #dcpsladybird #dcpsbutterfly #dcpsstem #dcpsgeography #dcpscore
