In EYFS we have been learning about the Denbigh characters. To help us remember the characters we have added animals to the them and Mrs Ortega has even written a song for us to sing. We have Determined Dogs, Exploring Eagles, Networking Newts, Independent Insects and Gracious Gorillas. The children in Reception have been reading The Feelings Book by Todd Carr this week. They have been talking about what feelings can look like and feel like inside our bodies. The children also have been learning about the Zones of Regulation and the colours associated with them. PE this week in Reception was all about travelling on different levels to transport bean bags. We had to use our positional language we had learnt in maths to travel, over, under, beside, inside, in between and through, to make sure we delivered the bean bags safely. The rest of Reception got to visit the woods today. We had lots of Brave Bears and Exploring Eagles hunting for bugs, hiding in bushes and making potions. We had a competition to see who could find the craziest stick and there were some incredible entries! We fed the ducks and a few sneaky pigeons, climbed a mountain and discovered some amazing funghi.
