The Dragons have loved British Science Week this week. We looked at three questions- How do birds build a nest? How do boats float? Does toast always land butter side down?
Our investigations resulted in us having lots of fun, as well as asking and answering some interesting questions, such as what is the strongest material that floats, how long does it take for birds to build their nests and does the weight of the butter make a difference to how it lands. #dcpsdragon #dcpsscience #dcpscore #BritishScienceWeek

PT 3. Reception children have been busy exploring our topic ‘People Who Help Us.” This week we were very excited to welcome two special visions who shared their important jobs with us. A member of TUI cabin crew (aka Miss Clarke’s sister Anna) and a pilot (Pete) came to talk to the children about their roles and how they help people travel safely around the world. The children loved hearing about what it’s like to work on an aeroplane, how pilots fly the aircraft and how cabin crew help passengers during their journey.
There were lots of fantastic questions and imaginative play throughout the day. #dcpsEYFS #dcpsladybird #dcpsbutterfly #dcpscore #dcpsgeography
