This week in Reception we have introduced “Brush Buddies.” This is a new supervised tooth brushing scheme where children have the opportunity to brush their teeth in school. We are so impressed with everyone’s determination to get their teeth super clean! They also showed great knowledge and understanding to the importance of keeping their teeth clean. The children in Reception headed back to the woods this week to continue their egg adventures. They found more eggs and chicks, fed the ducks, keeping a tally of all the baby ducks and moor hens. We found a little blue egg that had fallen out of a nest and were fascinated by it. We learnt that the egg belonged to a blackbird. Imagine our surprise to find a nest full of baby blackbirds in the builders yard on our very own yard! We have been super careful to be quiet when we are around that area so we don’t scare the babies. #dcpseyfs #dcpscore #dcpsladybird #dcpsbutterfly #dcpsscience #dcpslotc

Year 4 have been measuring mass this morning. They’ve been playing a game where they estimate how much something will weigh and then measuring it and finding out it’s mass. They then had to work out who’s estimate was the closest! #dcpscore #dcpsmaths #dcpselephant #dcpsgiraffe
