The children in Reception have had a magical couple of days in the woods. When we went to feed the ducks we bumped in Jingle Jo, an elf who was trying to help a very clumsy Santa find all of his belongings in the woods! When we found them all we went on Santa hunt to return them. We sang some songs with Jingle Jo, did some dancing and then had a hot chocolate. We went to see Santa and told him our Christmas wishes. We even went on an elf hunt. The children were so excited. #dcpsEYFS #dcpsladybird #dcpsbutterfly #dcpslotc #dcpscore 🌲🎅(Part two) ... See MoreSee Less

The children have used tens frames and counters, number lines and numicon to help answer addition sentences and create their own number bonds to 10! #dcpspandas #dcpscore #dcpsmath ... As part of our geography topic this term, we have been comparing the difference between ‘Villages,’ ‘Towns,’ and ‘Cities.’ The children have completed lots of lovely activities to help us understand the difference. We explored different cities in the UK and looked at some of their familiar landmarks. We enjoyed making our own Big Ben models, searching for different Cities on Google Earth, creating our own Tartan patterns and designing our own artwork to help us remember some of the key landmarks and attractions in each City that were have been exploring. #dcpspandas #dcpsgeography #dcpscore #dcpsart ... This term in geography we have been exploring the topic ‘Our place in the world!’ The children have been looking at our local area, and have done a great job creating their very own map of Howdon. They have used junk modelling materials to make some of the key places that we can see in the area to add to our giant map! #dcpspandas #dcpsdt #dcpscore #dcpsgeography ... See MoreSee Less

The Year 1 Pandas have done a fantastic job in their DT lessons this term. We have been recalling some of the skills that we learnt in reception, alongside using some new techniques that we have recently been taught to design and make our own Trim Trails. #dcpspandas #dcpscore #dcpsdt ...
