Before half term, Reception discovered a ‘Humpty Dumpty Crime Scene’ in the classroom. Using the investigative skills they learned from our local police visit, the children became detectives to solve the mystery of who pushed Humpty off the wall. They carefully explored finger prints and footprints, gathered clues, and created fantastic “Wanted” posters to help find the suspect.
They then became engineers and designed their own ‘safe walls’ for Humpty to sit on in the future. To test their ideas, we carried out an exciting egg drop experiment to see if the walls and protective parachute bags were strong enough to protect Humpty.
