During our STEM week, year 4 focused on the different environments around the world as part of our ‘Our Diverse Planet’ topic. Over the course of the week, we observed the temperature in the Sahara Desert and we made a practical line graph to show the change over time! They look fantastic! #dcpsgiraffe #dcpsstem #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less

Year 4 giraffes took part in a live workout today for Sports Relief today! We were exhausted by the end but it was lots of fun and helped keep us active and healthy. I think we might do this more often! #dcpsgiraffe #dcpscore #dcpspe ... See MoreSee Less

Last Friday, Mr Brown came into giraffe class to work on their ‘Computational Thinking’. The day began with an alien asking us to work together to crack lots of codes send them back to complete the mission. Of course they managed to do it with some fantastic debugging, problem solving, collaboration and creativity skills! #dcpsgiraffe #dcpscomputing #dcpsICT #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less

Year 4 giraffes had such a busy day yesterday! After the World Book Day fun we went to the skipping festival in the afternoon. For World Book Day, year 4 giraffes began their day by looking at the story ‘The Journey’. To their surprise it had no words! We predicted what was happening in the story by using our inference skills, before writing our own version of the story. We made sure to use interesting and adventurous vocabulary to sound just like authors! We then had the opportunity to do some book tasting in the hall, where we all found books that we are very excited to read soon! #dcpsgiraffe #dcpsenglish #dcpscore ... See MoreSee Less
