Year 3 Lizards
Year 3 Lizards class went to Marden CLC on Wednesday 22nd May for a day of programming and creating multimedia presentations, with some history thrown in for good measure.
The children used a piece of software called Scratch where they were required to import backgrounds and characters to make a presentation about the Romans. Any facts needed to be historically accurate and match up to the backgrounds chosen.
Each character used had to be programmed to appear at the right time, move around the screen, have a conversation with another character and give some information about Roman life. It was tricky but the children loved it and achieved great success.
Back at school we’ll be adding to the presentations, putting in sound and voice recordings to make their work even more impressive!
